Protest is futile, nothing seems to get through
Worked out. Music: Rancid ("David Courtney" over and over), The Police ("Everyone Stares" over and over), and then through the Police box set.
People have largely quit e-mailing me about political stuff. Then the governor tries at being a dictator and bam, the messages start flying. Maybe it's the people I know, but the anger is mostly about the governor ruling by decree. Everything else is second to anger at King Richard the Third.
The media is making a big deal about Mayor White's daughter. They ought to lay off the kid. It's news, but not worth a daily recap of the trial.
And in related news, monkeys are flying out of my butt. The Police are reuniting? I still don't believe it.
Work, work, work.

Random thoughts that came into my head on the drive today
1. Last night, I swear, I saw Corbin scratch his right underarm with his right hand.
2. I've changed my mind about the song I'll sing when I try out for American Idol (history). I'm going to sing "I'm bringing sexy back," but I'm going to change the words to "I'm bringing grumpy back."
3. I think this whole immigration controversy is turning into one of those "War on Drugs" type issues where right-wingers get riled up about something that's presented as a crisis and then we're stuck advocating increasing the size, scope, and power of the federal government.
4. I'm following the Astros a little. We'll see if it sticks. Here's a start: It's great that Woody Williams is coming back to Houston, but isn't he, um, a little old? Dude's older than me....

One of the wine blogs I read mentions our fine state legislature.
Fermentation: The Daily Wine Blog: The Octopus
The TABC should be abolished, and every law relating to adults and the manufacture, selling, transportation, etc. of alcohol should be repealed. No power, no corruption.

Wholesalers have every right to participate in the political process, be it by lobbying, giving campaign contributions or trying to influence the public. I would never suggest they don't have this right.I've actually been the holder, in the past, of a TABC license and I'm here to tell you: The system is rigged against the little guy.

A bit of this and a bit of that...
1. We were taken to Brenner's last night. Wonderful.
2. I'm going to continue to go through the archives of unfinished posts and see what I can snag from it. Because we are not in the least ways about quality here at Slightly Rough. We're about volume, volume, volume!
3. MainstreamLibertarian.com was a Cool Pick of the Day. Eric drags me back in to politics and the awards start flying.
4. My Christmas Wish - That for the rest of the year, the people who are offended by public displays of Christianity and the people who are offended by the people who are offended by public displays of Christianity will all just shut up and be nice to each other.
