Can't keep up...

So I catch up.

Worked out Friday and Monday. Grandpa and Ann came into town while my parents are babysitting the princesses. Had a big meal on Saturday with them. Bought a new pistol on Sunday. Background check service was down so I had to wait to pick it up.

Music on Monday - Hank3, duh.

Friday it was Joe Ely, which triggered a memory.

Freshman year at UT, Down on the Drag was stuck in my Turismo tape player, which was appropriate because I lived on 22nd and Pearl. I can remember it playing Crazy Lemon while I turned right off Guadalupe in front of the Castillian. I went to Mad Dog and Beans. I'd been before, but this was the first time I had the burger with the chili on it. MDaB is gone now, like a lot of things I liked.

On the radio this morning I heard that Rep. DeLay resigned from Congress. I think that most everything that people say about him now in hindsight will be self-serving crap. I'll be no different.

In my dark moments, I think that maybe the Birchers and the left-wing moonbats are on to something. Maybe there really is a criminal group that actually runs the country and all these politicians we see are just actors playing roles. Watch the Sopranos enough and you start to wonder what the difference is between La Cosa Nostra and the Congress.
