A couple of country notes
1. I caught a Shooter Jennings video on the iControl, that 4th of July song. I had read someone on the net criticizing him, saying that he had failed as a heavy metal musician and was now cashing in on his dad's name. Well, maybe he liked heavy metal and country too. It could happen. I like punk and country.
The song was good. It was like a Waylon Jennings song, but with a kick. I liked it.
2. I saw my first Big and Rich music video. More precisely, I saw the beginning of a Big and Rich video. I guess some people like that sort of stuff, but it's not my cup of tea. Kind of like country rap. It doesn't work for me. I also saw a Trace Adkins video, honky tonk a bonk or something like that that was like some 40-year old white guy rapping about women's butts while wearing a cowboy hat.
That one didn't work for me either.
I'm getting an early start on my New Year's resolution of being nicer.
