HD143 - Who knows...

Harris County Republican Party Rules & Bylaws
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING REGGIE GONZALES TO FILL THE VACANCY FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE OF HOUSE DISTRICT 143

WHEREAS, we gratefully acknowledge the dedication and service of the late Joe Moreno, who suddenly passed from this life into the next just last week in a tragic auto accident; and,

WHEREAS, we respectfully offer our condolences and prayers to all friends and family of the late Joe Moreno; and,

WHEREAS, Governor Perry will be calling the Special Election in the very near future and we want our local Republican Party to stand united behind one candidate; and,

WHEREAS, Reggie Gonzales is a long-time activist in the Republican Party and has worked diligently to promote Republican issues and values within the existing Party, as well as extending his influence to Non-Traditional Republican Voters; and,

WHEREAS, Reggie Gonzales lives in the district, has worked the district, and has previously been the Republican Nominee for State Representative in House District 143;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Harris County Republican Executive Committee stands firmly with Reggie Gonzales in support of his candidacy to fill this sudden vacancy; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Harris County Republican Executive Committee's support of this resolution confirms our commitment to support Reggie Gonzales in the upcoming Special Election.
